Città "bipolare" dalle antiche origini che, oltre alla parte che si estende alla luce del sole, offre anche un affascinante mondo sotterraneo con più di nove chilometri di labirinti e cunicoli in parte visitabili. La città è inoltre rinomata per il Santuario di Campocavallo e di S. Giuseppe da Copertino.

Loreto is famous for the Shrine of the Holy House, one of the most important places of worship in the world dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Sanctuary, a destination for pilgrimages from all over the world, preserves the house where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary lived and received the annunciation from the Archangel Gabriel. The Sanctuary complex consists of several chapels and churches, rich in priceless artworks of great historical and cultural importance.
